Join us at the STUΔIO for a morning of creative fun. Create your very own frame worthy masterpiece, inspired by Theodora Miller’s signature abstract florals collection the “Blooming Girls”.

We are going BIG — you will create an 8×10” painting on the prettiest handmade cotton rag paper with deckled edges. All supplies and instruction are included; no art experience is necessary.

Saturday, April 5, 10 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
STUΔΙΟ is located at 2510 W. Main Street, Richmond, Va

Artist and creative mentor Theodora Miller will share her inspirational story from brain injury to full-time artist and guide you through her hands-on creative process. You’ll explore painterly brushstrokes and play with colorful paint chips from her recycled palette papers. Each blossom will have its own details and imperfections that will make her complex, graceful, beautiful, and wise.

The inspiration behind Theodora’s Blooming Girls collection

“Orchids were my mother’s favorite flowers and she grew them effortlessly in humid Central Florida. I’d never had any luck with them in Richmond. I’d buy them in full bloom only to have them go dormant for years. On that cold January day on the first anniversary of her passing, an orchid blossom unfolded. Sure, some may call it sheer coincidence, but I choose to see it as a divine sign – a message of love and a reminder to keep blooming in every season.

Beyond every challenge, loss or hardship, the season of blooming returns and yields even greater strength, courage and beauty.”
