Shadow Dancing

At my artist residency in Skopelos, Greece, I observed the ethos of the island letting nature be my guide. I aimlessly wandered through the narrow cobbled streets and into private gardens, through the lush forest and olive groves, up the mountainside to a monastery, and down the cliffs to the sea.

Everywhere I went, the sun played and the shadows danced. I accepted its invitation to play along, quickly drawing and chasing the light. Only returning indoors to paint what my hurried hands had sketched.

This experience gave birth to the collection I call “Shadow Dancing.” An artistic approach that I carry with me to any destination.
