It is Written

My mother always found a way to casually toss out a Greek proverb that would fit the exact moment when I needed to hear it. After she passed away, I began to fill the void of her loss by getting lost researching Greek philosophers, poets and lyricists — connecting with my heritage fills me with enormous gratitude.

When I find words that speak to my heart, I memorize them and paint them in the language of my ancestors, over and over in a meditative rhythm. My breath slows and my mind stops racing. I hope that these paintings with a deeper meaning provide you peace and hope for the days ahead. and hope as you journey through the days ahead.
